La Virgencita Celebrates Corpus Christi

San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Thursday, June 7, 2012. With heartfelt devotion, La Virgencita Parish celebrated the solemnity of Corpus Christi, Body of Christ in Latin.  In the sermon on the commemorative Mass, Parish priest Juan Manuel Betancourt mentioned that "Today we rejoice for the institution of this divine banquet", referring to the Holy Eucharist.  In the procession that followed in the parish atrium, under the abundant rainfall, the faithful visited 6 altars related to the holiday.

Prior to the Holy Mass, which began a few minutes after 7:00 p.m., there was a rosary directed by the Mexicana Night-time Adoration. The temple was full, as if it was Sunday. The San Jose Choir livened up the religious service with beautiful songs of faith. In spite of the heavy rain, many of the attendees joined Father Betancourt in the procession which visited allusive altars, installed around La Virgencita.
