Elementary Schools Carry Out a Cultural Week

San Luis de la Paz, Gto. Tuesday, May, 22 2012. Elementary Schools from Zones 511 and 562, which include our municipality, carry out the Twelfth Cultural week, from May 21 to May 25, in front of the San Luis Rey Parish atrium.  In the second day, the educational institutions which participated were: Nicolas Bravo, Alfonso Caso from Mision de Chichimecas, and Miguel Hidalgo. They took turns to offer us attractive dances for children and from the states of Puebla, Baja California, Hidalgo, Aguascalientes, Veracruz, Chiapas, Sonora, and Nuevo Leon. 

At 6:30 p.m., started the program with a speech from Professor Jose de la Luz Villegas Contreras, Supervisor of Zone 511.  He said that the goal of the cultural week is to show the work of the schools and make them public.  Furthermore, he said that culture and arts such as dancing, singing and poetry, are useful for the formation of children. 

The conductors of the artistic gala were the local musician Alejandro Lopez and the teacher Alejandra Morin. Besides presenting the schools, they narrated their history.  Likewise, during the breaks they talked about the importance of the family in the education of kids.  Meanwhile, the audience gathered in front of the Parish and at the Garden, enjoyed an evening of colorful folkloric dances.
